April GNO. I wasn't too sure if I should wear my new hairstyle. It was shorter than usual... but then I got a new lavender top which made me look good (I think), so I decided to take the risk. You can judge from the pictures if the results were good...

So I got to Characters Taverna, which is where we had our dinner. I met with Brina, Tora, Persphany and Joe, who officially, was my date for this night.

After dinner, we went to the Dufferin. Had a couple of drinks and danced a little bit, but we decided to go to the Odyssey.  Joe and I. So we went out to catch a cab.

Here is where the excitement and new thing of this night happened. Joe suggested that instead of taking a cab we could walk (the Odyssey is about 6 blocks away), so without being too sure (because of the Saturday night crowds and the walking in heels) I said yes.  But then, he said "Let's walk on Granville St". Granville St is the heart of the entertainment district in downtown Vancouver and is filled with clubs, straight clubs. I hesitated, but said yes.

As we started walking there my heart was pounding hard. What I call the Roller Coaster feeling.  Fear and excitement at the same time. Well to my surprise, no one, nobody, read me.  (and let me tell you that I'm pretty paranoid about being read, and I always notice when people do read me).  I could not believe it. Hundreds of people and no one noticed.

I can tell you that a man by your side can do to your passability is a LOT.  I think I looked good, but the major difference is that a man next to me was there to validate me, so most people just assumed we were a regular couple.

We got to the Odyssey, danced a bit, chatted, and then I got back home.  But I will never forget my walk around the street as a girl.
